The earliest you can expect this product is in a few months. Available Marketplaces Google doesn’t charge people to add games to the Android. Hopefully the $40+ price tag will keep the Android Marketplace from being flooded with Catch the Clown games. There is a $100 fee to get a license to publish apps to the iOS. The PSP Marketplace is difficult to get into. I believe the license costs over a thousand. I just want to try and help people understand as early as possible that it might not be another $25 product here. It won’t be thousands, it won’t even be hundreds.
The missing piece in YoYo Games line of products has been revealed: GameMaker Studios. GameMaker Studios has gone past the possibility of allowing people to publish their games to HTML 5. Game Maker Studios may allow people to independently publish to PC, Mac OSX, iPhone, iPad, iPhone + iPad (a universal app for iOS), PSP, Android, and HTML 5. Edit: YoYo Games won’t confirm this so a few of these options may not be available in GameMaker Studios.
HTML 5 will most likely be included. Update: HTML 5 will be included as a separate product.
