Alma says something in this verse that I find very interesting. He says that he wants joy with the people of Gideon. He doesn’t want to wade through affliction to get to the joy. Think about this. We often say that the journey doesn’t matter as long as we get to the right destination. Alma says that the journey does matter. Choosing the right does matter.
