This verse contains some beautiful imagery of God cleaving, or holding tightly to us. Jacob ask us to “cleave unto God.” How do you think that you can cleave unto God, or, in other words, hold tightly to God?
Here is some great advice that Jacob gives. You can memorize this little verse. When you are faced with a choice that might be hard, repeat the verse to yourself: O be wise; what can I say more?
